We are working on a solution with a new LED Drive box that will allow the LED to dim in DRL mode. This upgrade option will be available in September.

You heard it here first haha (I hope) So this would give us an LED option in the stock set up.

Thanks for the bump - we opened up pre-orders on these at the end of last week, and are currently expecting to be shipping them around the end of September. They are a new Driver that replaces the older iteration (and the PWM module! This means less components to install), and the process is very simple. We have a great video that shows the process and some more details.

And how does one keep the parking lights on? And disabling DRL requires techstream or a scan tool, which is easy enough but either way it is nice to have it ABLE to function like it should What are the bulb sizes for parking lights anyways... you mean its the tiny light at the edge of lamp I never really looked at it properly..

Any advantage to LED headlights over the HID. I am happy with the HID. I do wish I could get LED for the fog lights instead of the orange color.

No, there is no LED upgrade kit that is going to be as bright as an HID kit.

An LED Kit is going to function better as the high beam and DRL mainly because they're instant on while HID lights have a warm-up period. Additionally, with our new DRL LED Driver, they can dim in DRL mode. If you have projector headlights then HID would still be the way to go and as for the fog lights LED would be better because of the smaller housing.

To 0133642: When you have the parking light on. Does both front and rear off your car light should be on or you have an option to turn the rear off? I want only front on. Please advise.
To jdanielca: If you have 07-09 LS460 then no LED strip light in front headlight, LED strip light only on 2010 LS460 and up

jdanielca,
The parking light is on when you turn the light switch on 1 turn. The parking light normally use when you parked your vehicle on the side of road to make attention to other driver. On 2007-2009 LS460 the parking light in front has amber color and the running tail light will be on also. On the 2010 and up LS460 the headlight build in the white LED strip light below the running light. On the 2010-2012 LS460 the white LED strip light only turn on when you turn light switch one time. The LS460 2013 and up they change the DRL (Daytime Running Light) from the high beam at low voltage to the white LED strip light. On the 2010-2012 LS460 we can turn off the DRL in the navigation setting menu but I can not turn the tail light off when the parking light on.

Hey Danny,
Just got around to installing them. The color and brightness of the LED is excellent, unfortunately there does seem to be a flicker even with the new DRL Driver. I made a video showing both and while the flicker isn't as pronounced to the naked eye as it is to my camera, it's certainly noticeable.
Link:

Thoughts? Is there something else I can do to reduce the flicker or does this just mean that this wont work for the LS460s
