Cabin Air Filter Question ?
Hi everyone!
So, I pulled out the cabin air filter in the glove box, cleaned it and put it back in, and now when I start the car the ventilation system acts confused.
Initially nothing happens, the lights for Auto, etc, do not come on as they did before. Eventually after a minute or so sometimes the AC starts up and other times i have
to go Climate and turn it on manually. At that point everything works normally although now the interior is set for 75 degrees versus it was 70 before I removed the filter.
I am guessing some delicate sensor has been disturbed despite my best effort to carefully refit the black plastic cover plate, I did not bother fitting the "shelf" plate.
Could not fitting the shelf plate have disturbed things? I really do not want the cost and hassle of taking it to a dealer, can someone comment on this?
