Default solution engine oil leak, other leaks

Has anyone ever tried
ATP-AT-205-Re-Seal-Stops-Bottle ATP-AT-205-Re-Seal-Stops-Bottle
? Check ebay's price before buying off of Amazon. I think this is an easy and cheap solution to leaks.

I wanted to post a response to a thread about engine oil leak but that thread is closed.

I tried it, it helped, did not fully stop my valve gasket leak but it cut down on it.

Where is the oil leak?
FWIW.... I am NOT a fan of these "rubber softening and swelling" cocktails because they MAY cause other problems. YES! they may work temporarily but they are a "band aid solution" to something that must be addressed sooner or later.

IF you find a mechanic in a bottle...... Please let him out!!

What other issues is it going to cause? Products like ATP 205 are mostly safe to use, they don't cause issues(unless you dump several bottles in) though they don't permanently fix them either in just about all cases. For people who would rather spend 12 bucks to stop or lessen a oil leak over spending $300 to $400(why haven't they designed a gasket that lasts decades by now?) or more to replace valve gaskets it is a nice cheap option and they do work or at least help until you do get them replaced.

Sometimes all it takes it tightening the bolts back to specs. Gaskets shrink and just tightening them seals the gaps. This doesn't work if they are cracked.

There are some vague engine similarities between old 283/327/350 Chevy V8 engines.

Chevy’s has a “wet” lower edge to the valve covers as the slant to the head had oil pool against the edge.

Over time the gasket degraded and leaked.

The performance of the engines basic design was worth the leak issue then.

Firing order on our sc is the same as the old chevy’s

1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2.
