Default Question about speaker rattle with MK system

Hi Guys,

So I watched All Eyez On Me the other day which got me listening to some old 2Pac tracks from back in the day. I noticed there was some speaker rattle from my front door speakers. I was curious if the rattle is just a limitation of the MK speakers or if there is something I can apply Dynamat to to eliminate it. Any particular setting I can use to reduce the mids and lows from the doors so those frequencies come out mainly from the sub? When I had a "system" back in the day a crossover eliminated bass from coming out of any of my rears or component set. I imagine there has to be something to help make listening to hip hop more pleasant.

I get this rattle from my front driver door speaker when playing certain songs. The volume does not have to be loud but it's there. On the next song it disappears though.

Assuming you mean the ML system (Mark Levinson)

I get this from my passengers side.. I thought it was a blown speaker but, after investigating it, I don't think it is.. The noise is coming from the door but, not on the speaker.

I put a heavy bass tune on and sat over there trying to find it. Really annoying, I need to find it.

Check if there are any objects in the door pocket. They can rattle. Just a though because it happened to me once. There was a comb in the passenger door pocket and it made sound due to vibrations.

I don't think there is but, I will double check it. I'll never know if my wife put something in there...

I have the same issue, only on certain songs. Irritating and I've yet to chase it down since its always the songs that play while I'm driving and never the ones that play while I'm stopped and can sit in the passenger seat.

Just went through this on my new one. I removed the door panel, made sure all the clips were installed right, one was broken off (likely from my window tint install), replaced that, I tightened the bolts around the door speaker, reinstalled everything and the noise is gone.

I have a very light rattle on my new to me 2013. My daughter described it perfectly as a deck of cards being shuffled but it's very faint, can only be heard over 40mph with radio off and is definitely coming from passenger side. I've looked for anything that could be moving around on the door or in the glovebox, open closed window and sunroof, etc that could be causing it. My son sat in passenger seat while driving and said he thought maybe it was coming from the vent. My indy shop listened for it when they took it for a test drive and said they heard it but couldn't determine where it was coming from. They told me not to worry about it because it's so faint. Clearly they don't know me well enough. Can't unhear it now, although if radio is on then you really can't hear it.

Any thoughts on how to determine where my rattle is coming from? I made an appt to take a test drive with the Lexus dealer but hoping to figure it out myself.

Mine rattles too at certain frequencies. Eventually I'll take the panel off and make some adjustments. When I press against the panel in certain areas, the rattle goes away.

I also get a buzz on my passenger side door. Mine is a vibration and NOT the speaker. Something is buzzing/vibrating/rattling inside the door panel and it drives me up the wall. It doesn't always do it, only at certain low frequencies and I notice when I roll the window down, it stops - it must be pushing the panel enough to stop whatever it is. I have been too lazy to take the panel off and look around. Maybe now is the time since it's warming up. Otherwise, I LOVE my ML system. Mine is an '07 and all speakers and amp still function flawlessly.

Mine seems to be the map pocket, try yours. With the map pocket open, no buzzing.
