That was funny, Randy. David is also correct about it not being good to always top off batteries.

I must say though that my Note 5 and S7 Edge batteries did degrade after I began using wireless charging (3 coil models from two different brands). Ever since then I haven't bothered with wireless charging. Wireless charging is still slower than wired charging and also heats up my phone, which could have contributed to degraded battery life. I received a Samsung wireless charger free with my Note 8 but relegated it to a drawer after the first week. If you'e a power user, wireless charging can still struggle to provide a positive net charge. That was my biggest gripe. I would use Waze or GMaps and was still losing battery life while wirelessly charging. Wireless charging just became too slow and unreliable for me. I prefer user swappable/replaceable batteries over wireless charging but then you give up IP67 "waterproofness".

Depending on the charger. If your using a 1.0 QI changer, they are slow as anything, best to be used bedside for night charging. The newest standard is a quick charge QI, they do a much quicker job but, still not as good as QUALCOMM Quckcharge 3.0.

I use a quick charger QI charger with my Note 8, it does a fairly good job from 0-80% in about an hour or so (QC 3.0 can do it in about 30-45 min)

So just an update on this. The charger that I used originally has progressively gotten slower and slower, to the point where its basically worthless. Yesterday I replaced it with this wireless charger:

Charging speed is much faster, and now its worthwhile to have it again. It doesn't fill up the console like the old one, but it has a nonslip back and the phone stays put on it with its rubberized top.
