So Who wants an LS460 Supercharger?

I see you're the type that must have the last word on the forum here, so I won't post anything after this. The OP has asked who is genuinely interested in a supercharger for the LS460. He deserves an honest answer from folks because his company is going to spend a large amount of money on R&D. Since RR Racing supports the Lexus tuning community we owe them the courtesy of answering truthfully. I would love for there to be numerous companies producing superchargers and it's easy to say, of course go for it! It's another entirely to actually cough up the $9k to buy one. I question whether that's the case from people shouting yes. Are you going to buy a $9k supercharger?.
I'm sorry if you're somehow upset by my response. I'm simply stating the reasons why I'm not interested in modding MY LS, rather than just saying nope. A one word answer doesn't add much to the data on why or why not someone will buy it. I'm explaining why I personally won't buy one. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. If you have other opinions about modding yours, then great, I support those who will buy a supercharger. I love everything about modding cars and judge no one for doing so. My opinion was asked for, it was given, and if you want to continue to get butt hurt about it I can't help you there. Out.

No hard feelings.

Well.....that is his M.O.
I'm used to it now.
I for one did'nt see your post as misleading, but an opinion.
Again, I'm intrigued by the idea of a Supercharger for our LS's. Always have been. I agree with ***** in respect to a relatively mild tune not requiring a great deal (if any) mods to the suspension or other aspects of the car. My only concern is the engine itself, especially as many members here already have issues with oil consumption.

I was browsing the classifieds for the S and E class AMG's , and its definitely cost effective to supercharge the 460 , given their horrendous cost of ownership and depreciation.
It starts to make the 9k sound like its not so bad, although I would rather wait for a used kit to pop up in the classifieds to be perfectly honest.

What is the status?
[QUOTE=RRRacing;10133559]
hi all,
So we are thinking of purchasing an LS460 shortly for Supercharger development.
We will try to keep the price down compared to our ISF/RCF/GSF KITS, but it will likely be around $9000.
HP spec will be at least 550hp or so.
Overall goal for the car will be to make it a real sports sedan, with our own proper suspension and brakes for a total package of power and handling.... no VIP and curtains on the windows
Anyone genuinely interested or are we wasting our time?

I have 2012 LS-460 AWD. Was just wondering if this was being produced? So we are thinking of purchasing an LS460 shortly for Supercharger development.

I would be interested. I am even more interested in the other products RR Racing carries. Suspension components, tunes, intakes, exhausts, and brakes. Sway bars and a tune are top of my want list for my LS.

I wonder where the weakest link is in a ls460 engine?
The sc430 has rods that limited its hop up potential

I think suspension parts would be ideal considering the LS460 suspension bushing problems that seems like no manufacturer has a solution for. I would also suggest air to spring conversion for the LS.
