Default Clock wont stay set

Good afternoon all,

I have a 2013 F-Sport and my clock has been on the fritz for the past few weeks. I replaced the battery (not due to the clock lol), and it still won't stay set. When I try to set it automatically it won't set (I'm EST),
when I tried manually it wouldn't stay either. Is this a common issue with them. Also, is there a workaround? I've tried everything I can think of to set it. Thanks for any help given.

Is this just a time zone problem, or something else? Is the time always correct, except for the hour?

You have to tell your car the local time zone you are in and whether daylight saving time is being observed.

There is a TSB from Oct 29th, 2013: L-SB-0085-13 on this.
It was covered under the 4 year/ 50K mile warranty and just
involved changing out the clock. Check with your dealer.

Thanks for the help. I'll check with the dealer on changing it out.

Mine if I use DST and keep Central like it should be it is an hour ahead. I have to turn it off and roll back an hour to get it to be normal.

It seems to me that the correct settings for your location, today thru March 10, 2018 would be:
Time Zone = CST
DST = OFF

The correct setting for your location March 11, 2018 thru November 3, 2018:
Time Zone = CST
DST = ON

If you set the DST = ON today it would cause the clock to be one hour fast because DST is not currently being observed at your location.

Not in the LS460. Seems like a simple thing to have the car's computers automatically deal with DST, but you have to turn it ON in the spring and turn it OFF in the fall.

There was a wall clock in my office that that the automatic DST feature. Then Congress changed the effective dates, as it has a few times, thus making the feature worthless.

Maybe there could be an option where one could set the DST schedule; but really, it's only an issue twice a year.

Scrutator, unlike your office clock, the Lexus clock can be sent a DST on/off signal thru its cell/sat antenna. Or the system should be able to get the time signal from any FM station. This should not be a difficult feature to automate in a car.

I have the same problem with my clock. Tried different time zones hoping it would somehow go to the right time. Didn’t work. Every zone I tried, the clock would go back or forth like 30-45m each adjustment. Tried adjust it manually and it can’t keep correct time. I ordered a used clock on eBay. But it’s been too cold to be outside so I haven’t tried it on. Anyone has any idea how to remove the clock?
By the way, I have the 13 LS460 F-Sport AWD.
