That looks nice. I like that it's at a Mercedes dealer, meaning it was probably a trade-in rather than the kind of auction car you find at independent dealers.

Looking at the pics, the armrests are not stitched, meaning it does not have semi-aniline leather. Online listings are notorious for listing that when they don't have it.

This one don't have the rear seat upgrade package as listed.

You could get the semi-aniline upgrade as a standalone for $500. The easy way to tell whether a car has it is by looking at the center air vents in the rear seating area.

The first pic has the wood surrounding the vents, indicating semi-aniline leather upgrade.

The second pic shows the black plastic surrounding the vents, indicating standard leather option.

Very interesting and spurs a lingering question. I have a 460L and mine has the wood grain around the rear vents. I always thought I had the semi-aniline because it feels very different than all other 460's I drove that I know didn't have it. I also know I had the different headliner which I thought went hand-in-hand with semi-iniline. However, I thought the door panels were always leather-wrapped in cars with the semi-aniline..? My car didn't have that so it had me questioning what type of leather I actually had. Now I'm potentially more confused..!

That is odd. You should have had the upgraded door panels. Did you buy it used? I wonder if someone swapped them out to use in a different car?

Yes, bought used roughly 12 months ago. Strange. The mystery continues!

Car brand dealerships, even Lexus dealerships buy cars at auctions too for their pre owned departments, auctions are very common for how used cars end up at dealerships

I'm going to look at that car tomorrow. The Air ride is the only concern I have. I really wanted another Silver one but, I really want to see that Gray one, Smoky Granite Mica to see if I might be ok with that color. I wonder if it's like the Black being so hard to care for.

I maintain 2 blacks cars, the GS and the 400. I've seen several Smokey granite mica 460s which is basically grey with a tint of something else that makes it look like another color under certain lighting conditions. Trust me it looks nothing like black.

So, do you like that color ? Shoot me straight. I know it's personal preference but, is it more forgiving than the Black? I mean, does it require the Love and attention that the Black does. I hear you gotta be tough to keep the Black Cars Sweet.

I ended up buying a silver car and I really was hesitant to buy the Smokey granite mica because I really didn't like the grey. It just looked plain to ME. I actually saw more of these when I was looking than any other color. I even looked it up and lots of members liked that particular color but when I see one today I'm just glad I got silver. I've owned a white pearl 400, black 400, white pearl 430, wife has the black GS and I now have the silver 460.

I don't think the Smoky Granite 2010 LS460L in the link you sent has the Air Ride suspension (missing the "High" button on the center console). Sounds like you'd prefer to avoid the Air Ride anyway to keep maintenance costs down.

Hope it looks great in person!

I own 2010 smoky granite mica 460L. Prior to that I owned a silver LS 430 for 8 years and a black LS400 for 3 years. I initially wanted a silver 460 but couldn't find the right one so I ended up with this - and I absolutely love this color. It's nothing like black to maintain- it's significantly easier. I'm a freak about having a clean car and this one is easy to keep clean and looks super sharp. In my area, I have only seen one other 460 this color, so I also like that it doesn't look like everything else on the road (obviously this varies). I tinted the windows to the darkest level permitted in FL and it makes it look even better IMO. The rear windows look pretty dark in this pic because in the summer I keep the rear sun shades up on rear passenger windows and rear window.https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...fb03f50143.jpg
