TPMS Sensor (2013 LS 460)
I had a tire dealer install a new tire pressure sensor in my left rear tire. All five tire pressure dash displays worked before he installed the new sensor. Now the tire pressure dash display shows five blank dotted lines only.
What do I need to turn on?

You can't do anything unless you have proper tools. Your tire shop has to take care of the problem.

Yes, trigger/scan tool can do that. They are usually installed as a set. If one is going, the others will follow soon after because they are same age. I wouldn't replace one at a time.

It's the season of TPMS woes - when the overnight temperatures are starting to get much lower.
Failing TPMS sensors do not report low pressures - they are "non reporting" and give a completely different indication
We see a spate of reports each year at this time. It is due to lower tire pressures that fall about 1 PSI for every 10 degrees the ambient temperature falls.
These seasonal-onset TPMS warnings are usually the results of underinflated tires or maladjusted TPMSs.
Check your tire pressures, add air as necessary. When you are adjusting your tire pressure, it's a good time to benchmark your TPMS.
And, there are 5 sensors - don't forget to check and add air to the spare.

Thanks for the answers.
I took my LS to Discount Tire this morning and they used the scanning tool on all 5 TPMS. Three were very low and 2 were fine. They replaced all 3 failing ones for $144 installed. Everything functioning correctly now. I have an air compressor in my garage so I can be obsessive about keeping the numbers perfect no matter what the temperature.

Thanks for sharing the attached report. It seems to show that the warning threshold for ID#1 is set to 30.1 PSI and the warning threshold for ID#3 is 30.4 PSI. The respective sensors are reporting 31.5 and 33.0 PSI. With those small margins - 1.4 PSI for #1 and 2.6 PSI for #3 - an overnight temperature drop of 25 degrees will very likely cause a "low pressure warning" if the car is parked outside. The other warning thresholds are not set low enough either, for a cold inflation pressure of 33 PSI. The proper warning thresholds for 33 PSI cold inflation is about 25 PSI.
