Carbotech Brakes 2014 F-Sport LS460
So I thought I was getting a deal, a F-Sport just over 1K over what I could find a base model for! Heard about the brake squeal and thought an upgrade of Carbotech pads would solve the issue, Boy was I wrong or at least I think I am? They were installed and instead of the squeal they sounded like they were about to come off, a thumping noise when braking? Called Carbotech and they swear it’s simply an issue of the marterial being to thick & that shaving them down should do the trick? The rotors were turned so no old material from the brembos were left, Anyone have a clue or experience with Carbotech pad replacement???

If you still have the old brakes, you need to remove the Brake Shims from the old ones and place them on the new ones from CarboTech. When you by new pads from CarboTech they do not supply brake shims. I also had the same issue when I replaced mine. I have been very happy to the CarboTech brake products. I hope this help. Keep me posted.

Thanks I’ll give it another shot using the shims from my brembos, Carbotech was willing to stand behind their pads 100% whatever I wanted so it’s worth another try before sending them back, Thanks again!!!
