Thanks, it was still bothering me so here is what I actually did today to make it look more OEM, lol, I'm ****! I bought parchment spray paint from Amazon and took the units off, painted them and put them back, now it is much better.
Looks great. So, is this a cable housing that contains the power wires, and the RCA cables? Or is this HDMI? Your install completely eliminates dangling wires to the power source, as well as the cables for playing the same DVD on both screens. It is really very nice.
BTW, I hope you saw my new thread on the installation of the mirroring kit and Nav bypass. I hope it gives you some ideas on how to tap the front DVD signal to play on the rear screens.

Thanks. Yes I did see your new thread with the front camera, very nice. This is just the wire going to the rest of the wires (RCA, etc.), this unit just has one wire to the screen and breaks off from there so no need to paint any other wires as they are hidden. I am a do-it-yourselfer (3 kids so I have to save $ where I can). I'm good on my install right now, but if these ever crap out I'm gonna just buy mini iPads and have the kids keep bluetooth headphones in the car and that should do the trick...I tell my kids all the time how lucky they are as me and my brothers and sisters had to play the license plate game for entertainment on long trips lol.
If you have ML and DVD from factory you can use a Prestigious Society mobile integration system and any headset setup to make it work. Here's my old setup in my 2009 ls460.
