Hard knock from rear when going over bumps
Hello Everyone
I recently purchased a 09 LS460 a month ago. I have the LS with the air suspension. Each time I drive over medium sized bump or even a speed bump, I heard a loud knock noise coming from the rear passenger wheel. I noticed that when I place the car in 'High Height', it doesn't make that much noise from the passenger rear.
What could it be? A bad air suspension part on the passenger rear?

Possibly one of the rear air shocks need replacing.

Agree with dlbucksls10.
Its sounds like either the air shock needs to be replaced or the device that controls the (I believe) the height/air pressure is faulty.
I think I recall reading something about this here in this forum, that there is a box/device that is attached to each corner (4 boxes) that regulates each tower, and that they can go bad. But more often than not, I believe its the primary part itself, and when it is replaced, everything is replaced with new parts.
Good luck and please report back with what you find out.
