Like I said earlier, there will come a time when many of us have moved on to the LS500, it will be a superior car in most if not every way.

Count me in. I want the rocket ship twin turbos and the whole package, it's going to be a great car.

And that is not even getting to the possibilities in tuning. With TT's, by raising the boost, I am guessing the LS500 could really be a monster. Not that 4.5 seconds (if unlike the 460's rollout the numbers are close to spot on when the automotive press get their hands on it) Of course, raising the boost will/would most likely void the engine part of the warranty and cause earlier turbo failure.

That said, I remain a naturally aspirated fan. I would have been more stoked if they supercharged the LS500, but that is probably just me. And as for the automotive press (C&D, Motor Trend, R&T, EVO, Car (UK), et al), I am of the opinion that the reviews will be quite positive. That said, their focus (logically) is about brand new cars with little to no consideration both to those who keep cars 10 years plus, used cars buyers (cheapskates!) and so forth. Saying nothing of the fact that the advertisers in the magazines are the very companies whose products are under review. That is not to say they will not call out a car they don't like or list the horror stories of a long term review of a BMW...

I wasn't taken back by the LS exterior...toyota got it right inside and out, when it comes to their workhorse (Camry). The word gorgeous is too bland for this beauty

...maybe the LS looks like this but I missed it with all the special effects-fire and flashing lights during the big reveal.

For some of you people who are still iffy about the exterior does this change your view on it?

So you think the Camry looks better than 80k plus ls?

Just came across this: http://www.kia.com/us/en/content/veh...s/2018-stinger

If I was looking for a sedan with a V6, I's take a serious look at it. Looks gorgeous inside and out. Performance will be brisk with a 0-60 of 5 sec and a top speed of 170 mph.

You really need to let everybody have their own opinions. People will come around in their own time, telling them that they should feel a certain way about it isn't going to make them feel that way.

And that's my own opinion.

This car definitely stirs up a lot of strong feelings. I think everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Personally, I think Lexus failed to understand the majority of their customer base and this market segment. The new LS tries to appeal to the younger crowd with a more edgy design (nothing wrong with that, it is their design choice). For me, it has crossed the line. While there are some customers who prefer edgy design in the $90k+ segment; I suspect a majority of the customers in this segment want a more conservative design and more driving aid technology. If I am right, Lexus will likely have to resort to major discounting to move units. Time will tell. I do know this car does not work for me or my family.

Each to their own but the 2018 LS is disappointing and unimpressive from the videos and pictures I've seen. Its makes the G90 seems more impressive.

Looks better to me- not sure if it's the color, the angle, or both. I really dislike the view I've seen on the 5 minute video where you can see the rear roof line hitting the trunk (esp from the side). I just don't like the lines at all. But I hope lots of you folks do so you can drive down the price of a '13 or '14 for me..! I do love the seat redesign- looks very MB like (which is a good thing in my opinion).

Can you imagine the work keeping that grill clean after a highway drive in the heat of Summer? The bugs....if you didn't have a pressure washer before ownership, you surely will afterwards.

Also, that single gauge cluster is a huge turn-off. I prefer the traditional dual gauge cluster - Tach and speedo.

I don't mind the profile and rear design though.
