Regarding your last question, at this point, I would honestly take Steve's advice and head over to the detail area of the forum, as there is mind-boggling amount of information over there on just about any and everything cleaning and detailing related.

 

Leather Master products are all I have used for years with excellent results........ A little pricey but some great products.

 

I bought leather master strong cleaner and condition cream this weekend. Before cleaning

 

I followed instructions. Cleaned with sponge. After my applies and half an hour, the outer half part of the seat looks slightly cleaned than inner half part of seat just for comparison Outer half is cleaned, inner half is not cleaned

After half an hour, I still can’t get rid of the dirt left in the leather wrinkle


Then I tried cloth with soapy water and had better result. I realize sponge can’t get too much rubbing to remove the dirt hidden in the leather wrinkle while cloth (not too soft) works better. I compared LM strong cleaner and warm soapy water all with cloth and they look to have the same effect.


Outer half cleaned with LM cleaner & cloth, Inner half cleaned with soapy water & cloth

 

LM condition cream is not bad, doesn't make the leather shiny or slippery

 

You said soapy water..?? What soap did you use?
I hope you didn't use a dish detergent, as that will dry out the seat.
It also appears that you have some heavy cracking on the outer edge of the seat that would indicate lack of moisturization over time.
As Steve stated, there are extra little steps that you can do with the LM product that will enable you to achieve better results.
Also, its important to know what detergents/soaps are okay to use on these seats, as the material is soft and the seats have a poly-type layer of protection on them.
From my understanding, the method in which you decide to use to prolong the life of your interior is crucial to how they will withstand ambient temperature, UV rays and being "used".
There's really so much I could type and share but honestly spending some time in the detail area of the forum would provide you with some fantastic information.

Same here for all my cars. Way better than Meguiars stuff.

 

Yeah...it just works. No drama. They've been around forever and all the Lexus dealers here sell it. The only other product I use on the leather is an occasional treatment of 303 Aerospace Protectant which gives a healthy dose of 100% UV protection.

 

I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner as well, but I haven't really noticed anything magical. I apply the cleaner first and give it a good scrub with a microfiber towel, then when I'm done I apply the conditioner and work it in with another microfiber towel. The cleaner has a great smell...really enhances the leather scent...but I honestly haven't noticed it being cleaner or seen any improvement of the condition of the leather (yet I still do it every couple of months anyway.). I buy it at Walmart, it's pretty cheap...can't remember what I payed...maybe $6 bucks for each. And everyone I know personally loves the stuff.

 

No nothing magical, that's what I love about it. It just works. It cleans well and like you said, smells nice. Leather looks clean and natural afterwards (not enhanced or shinier if you know what I mean). I find it similar to a saddle soap (glycerin).

 

Find Leather Master cleaner is not easy to clean once your seat is already dirty. You really need to rub it a lot.
