Default Miss my LS460

Last December traded my 2007 with 115,000 miles and nothing wring with it for a 2104 Cadillac XTS. Miss my LS.

Thinking of trading it for a 2009 or so with 80K or so miles.

Thoughts on this ?

I like the XTS but Cadillac has some reliability issues, to say the least. But they do make a nice looking car...love the styling.

What is your XTS worth? I'd think you could get yourself into something newer than an 09 LS...perhaps a 2013? I'd do it for a 2013. Otherwise you're basically getting the same car you got rid of - things might be boring for you - I find that it's tough to go back to anything and have it feel the same (except for the time Kate Upton and I broke up, getting back together was ok).

It's nice to hear someone say something good about the LS460, right here on its own page we have a thread a half a mile long about "one thing you miss about your LS430...regrets?" Meanwhile on the LS430 side of the house the 430 is placed on a pedestal, never to be questioned in any sort of capacity. So it's refreshing to say the least.

Do we need a daily affirmation for how good the LS460 is? If you have to keep telling yourself that you are driving a wonderful car, as opposed to a LS430 or a S550, then maybe you don't believe it

I had a '13 XTS for a short while and enjoyed it for the most part. Seats were comfy, rear legroom was very generous and the trunk was enormous. Squeaks and rattles got to me after a while, also never got used to not seeing a hood when looking down the road (that stubby front end is to blame). Apart from those criticisms, it was reliable, got excellent fuel economy on 87, and actually was pretty peppy around town. Got compliments from older gentlemen on a daily basis.. And I still think that buying a used '13 or '14 with low miles for under $30k is a solid value proposition. Funny that you are mentioning the XTS as I now have a '15 ES 350 while my LS is having a few things done. I have to say that the ES really reminds me of the XTS. On that note, it also reminds me that my LS is just so much more car, so much more substantial feeling, and I would definitely go for a reasonably used 09-12 LS over a newer XTS, especially if my intention was to keep it for the long haul. If you aren't taking too big of a hit on the trade and the numbers don't bother you, drive what makes you happy!

Yes we do. And while we're at it I could also use soft neck massages. Thanks

In the end things just didn't work out, you'd be surprised, but she just wasn't a great conversationalist...plus she liked the 430 better.

I knew you would. Something special about ease cars that you miss when you're away from them for a long time.

It is annoying, I know. FWIW there's a thread in the LS400 forum where people cut down the LS430. One guy says he would never buy one because they changed the type of solder used on the circuit boards LOL.

why did you trade a perfectly good car for an unknown? The Caddy CTS-V is a special car, but other than that they're not all that remarkable.

Just curious as to why would you trade your ls460 for problems?
