The glass polishing pads are a "must have" or you wiill be taking three times longer vs. using foam pads........ Just be careful not to build up too much heat.
If you think the PC 7424 does a good job...... Step up to a Flex or Rupes polisher once you gain experience.

One other question.. If I'm using proper glass polishing pads and a good drill, will polishing gradually at around 1800rpms do the trick?

 

The directions say 800-1000rpm I think.

 

Is this an exercise that will remove the tiny dots left by rocks flying on the highway? My windshield, when it hits a certain light shows them. Granted they are minimal, but there. Would using this product with a buffer, remove them?

 

I'm going to learn the answer to this question soon. I'm not optimistic that those dots will improve, especially with the ones that catch your fingernail as you drag it across. If they are minor, they may improve. The superficial swirls and fine scratches should come out with the cerium oxide polish, the right glass polishing pads, and a good buffer tool/drill.
