All LS's after 2008 use acoustic side glass. This dramatically improves road and wind noise.

if i was you, i would pick up a oem glass from ebay and install it myself, you will probably save 1500$ and wont have insurance involved.

The insurance would give you a crap aftermarket glass which wont be double pane.

I changed mine - the car came with front driver after market glass which was not double pane- and it bothered me. The car was tad nosier too..

I got a oem glass from ebay was good as brand new and installed it myself- To take the door panels out there are 3/4 screws and then couple of screws for window. All the instructions can be found online, took about an hour

Safelite. Total paid $929.17 without insure claim. which included two OEM glass, install and service to come your house. I was really surprise when I got the quote. They only charged $157 in labor.

Seems like Safelite did a great job. Just in case I'll know who to call.
