Congrats beautiful car

We had a 2013 ct200h
We kept it 11 months
28,000 miles

Of the 9 Lexus we have owned , the CT was the worst car ever

Don't buy this car unless you are ok with flood vichele!!!! From Lexus owner history:

0313629 ELECT/MODULATED AIR SUSPNSN AIRBAG SYSTEM ""CHECK SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM"" LIGHT ON. - FOUND NATIONAL SERVICE HISTORY SHOWS VEHICLE REPORTED AS ""FLOOD CAR"" BY LEXUS OF NORTH MIAMI(60931) ON 04/08/2010 WITH 22,621 MILES, R.O. 280845. - CUSTOMER REQUESTED TO HAVE VEHICLE RETURNED. NO REPAIRS MADE AT THIS TIME.

I looked because the price is very low...

Yes, that is the car. I did see the flood in the Lexus vin lookup. It wasn't on the carfax, but was on the Lexus website info. Thank you for making sure I was aware. (Really nice that they make that info public BTW)

I felt comfortable bidding to the amount that I did as I would imagine any issues from the flood would have been well sorted in the 40k+ miles since that happened. Also, I felt comfortable with the buyer protection that eBay offers, as if it did have issues when I took delivery I would be covered (in theory.) I spoke with the owner at great length to learn some of the history. The seller has a veryimpressive collection of vehicles.

The car is beautiful and everything is functioning well. It came from Canada so I did have to pay some import taxes as well, though figured that into the equation. I figure after all expenses I got the car about $6-7k below value. A great opportunity to get into such a great vehicle.

OUCH!!!
I surely hope that this isn't the vehicle you've purchased, especially a 600hL.
Gotta do the homework, particularly when the car is posted in eBay.
I do hope this whole thing works out in your best interest, as this could potentially be a nightmare.
Good luck.

It is that vehicle. Thanks, I trust it will be a good car. I'll be sure to keep the forum up to date on my experience, and feel very grateful to have this community resource.

There is no way I would have been able to afford this car new, or even a few years ago. I expect some maintenance and investments to keep it running at full capacity, and as an amateur mechanic and professional electrical system design engineer I look forward to learning more of the intricacies of this engineering marvel.

Also, I'm coming from owning a handful of Audi's, and still have one which is very heavily modified for track use. Nothing can be as maintenance heavy as what I went through with those vehicles!

Beautiful

Wheels look nice

Is the interior dirty and beat up or just the camera?

Thanks, the wheels have grown on me quite a bit. I'm thinking about getting some spacers for them. Does anyone know how wide we can go without replacing studs?

Interior is clean and in fairly good condition, I would rate it at an 8 out of 10. Exterior is a 9+. The camera app I was using is called Camera+ for iPhone, and it has a "clarity" filter. It looks nice for the exterior shots but did make interior a bit blotchy and dark. I was able to go in and remove the filter, here's a more accurate representation of the interior:

Rear is in great condition. Hard semi-transparent floor liners installed.

Some wear in the drivers seat leather, (small creases) and small indentation from where drivers elbow rests on center console.

Came with remote and 2 wireless headphones.

Very nice vehicle.
I really like the look of the wheels and the car seems to be a great condition.
Congratulations and enjoy the 600hL!
