Years the LS had Sticky Upholstery
I have a 2002 LS 430 that has been a perfect car. I totaled my GX470 and needed another car. I found a pristine 2011 with only 52000 miles. With the 110+ temps in Phoenix I now discover that the door and glove box upholstery gets tacky. I had no idea that Lexus could produce such crap. The recall to repair this disaster ended March 31st. I have contacted Lexus Headquarters with no help yet. So, did they ever get this issue resolved. I will trade up to get a newer LS if I know that year didn’t have the same issue. Finding out that Lexus had such a horrific problem was like discovering my spouse was having an affair. This has really destroyed my faith in Lexus. So is there an LS after the 2011 when Lexus quit using garbage for upholstery. I love my 2011 except for the #&*#$+ they used for some of the upholstery. Any info would be appreciated. My next step is to trade it for a Genesis and abandon what once was an incredible car manufacturer.

The 2013+ LS460s are the ones to buy due to that exact problem

The ZLZ program expired on March 31, 2021 for all cars 10 years or older, but if your car is less than 10 years old the ZLZ program still would apply regardless of mileage. Check to see if the date of first use is less than 10 years ago and you may still be eligible.
