Did a quick search but didn't find exactly what I'm experiencing with my head unit.

I put a CD in the changer and the screen recognizes it and shows it playing, but not sound. XM works....FM works....Aux works....but CD does not. Note....burned and commercial CD's have the same fate.

Any suggestions?

 

I just took my head unit out today to install a Vias tech over ride unit in. And from the little experience I have, I would say your disc changer is toast. Can your car play dvd? If it can, and your disc does not play, then I would go with bad disc changer. It is a seperate unit from the stereo.

 

I'm thinking the changer is toast.....I was hoping there was a quick fix but I guess it's off to eBay.
