LED fog light bulbs
The new LS looked strange with yellowish fogs and the HID headlights, so I bought these for a super-reasonable price:

Do they actually project any light? I thought that the LED bulbs for the fogs were for looks only. Same with my LED back up bulbs, they're useless for emitting any light while backing up.

I am very interested in your reaponse on these. I was thinking LED would be a good alternative to HID. But I don't think they will have the ability to throw light very far. Roadfrog is right, might just be for the HID look.

I will compare the before & after beam patterns to see how they look. I use them mainly to fill in the darker pattern below the headlights and for visibility to other motorists.

Exactly. One day I'll get around to doing that. LED's "look" nice but do not provide the projection required....at least not those you can buy on Ebay, etc. New cars are coming out with LED headlamps etc, but they are a different animal from what you can buy online, especially when retrofitting to an older vehicle with a different system.

These look like they might bea viable option if you are looking for usable LED light. Its from a trusted manufacturer but unfortunately it seems like its too new to find any reviews on it. It essentially seems like the cheap ebay ones but who can know for sure.

duckblue, you are faster than I am! They look awesome, same color temp as the HIDs. There is an aiming mechanism built into the back of the bezel, they might be able to be adjusted a bit.
Weird piece of advice that your picture reminded me of: If you have a Gordon Food Service nearby, go buy a 20lb bag of hardwood lump charcoal. You'll never go back to briquets! If no GFS, look for Royal Oak hardwood lump charcoal. Then get one of these, 2,439 people can't be wrong:

My pics are taken with a phone, and its sort of hard to judge since the looks vary greatly depending where you focus. First pic looks dim, but others look like it projects nicely.
