Injectors usually don't fail - it's very rare to see that nowadays - so I'd concentrate on the wiring or possibly a fuel rail problem.

Hoe did they determine it was the injectors without removing them? Did they hook a noid light up to the sensor harness? Did they kill the injector in the cylinder and do a power balance test? There are some other things that can cause a long crank...fuel pressure...cam sensor on some cars...even an evap purge solenoid stuck open can do that to a car.

Sounds like to me they came to the lazy conclusion to do the shotgun approach hoping something sticks.
To add to the list , very rare but VVT could also be suspect and a bad computer.
Data logging the event will always give you a clue.

Yeah it could be a lot of things - injectors being one - but every time I thought a car was having an injector problem, it usually wasn't.

So years later, I still have the problem with my injectors.

My part number is 23209-39155-B0 and I found just one of these costing around $260 online.
Service guy says really hard to clean these injectors and forget about changing the filter its impossible without breaking the injector.

Anyone try an aftermarket part?

P.S. make sure you check your cars injector "MARK COLOR" as they make 4 different colors (where the last 2 digits of part number are different).
Anyone try using a different mark color? Im guessing it wont fit right?
Whats up with 4 different mark colors anyway.

But yeah please someone let me know if they tried an aftermarket which brand etc and what about mark color.

looks like most replying here don't realize the OP is in the middle east, unlike in the US he can't just "take it to another dealer" as there likely isn't one for 100s if not 1000s of miles.

sadly I have seen similar threads in GM, Chrysler, and other forums from people in Dubai, where the mechanic gave them a shade tree diagnoses and just throws parts at the car never really addressing the problem.

I wish the OP the best of luck, it seems in that part of the world finding a properly trained technician in very difficult.

Gonna try additives.
Wish there was a before and after video of their results using an injector bench cleaner / flow tester.

I tried contacting fiveomotorsport but they did not have direct injection units like the pic I posted.

Anyone try CS Performance injectors off eBay?

If you're going to do a fuel injector cleaner, you might rather do a proper cleaning at your Toyota Dealership. They will actually connect the fuel system to a machine and run the engine with the machine hooked up. Additives are better for maintaining a clean system (though Top Tier fuels will already contain it).

Here's a video of it in action:

Thanks did this before and although it helped it significantly it still did not resolve the issue. Guess its worth doing it again over in tank additives. Thanks for the reminder.

As for CS performance injectors, they did not stock the part. Might be available in different color injector Marks.
Does anyone know what the marks mean and if using a different mark would be compatible or not?

Interest reading on this subject...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/mai...ntial-fix.html

I see slight hesitation, I think I am going to give this process a run... It's not hugh but, slight but to expected on a car over 140K...
