Default DYI Dash cam install

I'm installing a dash cam (Innovv C3) next to the rearview mirror, passenger side. There is a black plastic piece (6" x 6" with an L shape as it extends toward the roof liner) that contains wiring for the rearview mirror and radar cruise control. (I plan on using this to channel the wire into the headliner and then to the A pillar) It attaches to the windshield, so it should remove easily but I don't want to break it. Does anyone know how to remove it? If it just pops off, where should you first start to pry on it? I'm trying to avoid scratches, and rattles if I screw it up. Thanks

Was able to remove mine by just pressing on each side with my fingers, it should pop out easily.

Thanks for the info LS2k. I tried with two hands pressing on the sides it wiggles but it is really tight. But it would not come off. I tried using a butter knife that was taped to prevent scratches and it still won't pry off. Do you have the advanced reader cruise control, maybe that is the difference? Do you remember what type of clips were holding it on and their location? Any further info would be appreciated thanks.

No I don't have the advance radar piece so your setup must be different them. Mine came off very easily w/o the needs for tools.

Figured it out. Small U shaped plastic piece at front of cover needs to be pushed forward. I used a small flat head screw driver that releases the u shaped clip. You then pull it forward and it releases from the headliner.
