Also, wasn't there a company doing these for our cars at a cost of about 5-7g?? (Parts only no install)
I think there is more to this story. If this is all that is necessary the car is going to go kaboom.

I'd be happy with a simple method to remove the top speed limiter

Seriously? There must be a way around that limit if they allow 155 in Europe I will admit to driving cruise control at 110 in good open roads with no traffic around in north eastern NM, in a 1994 Q45.

North American models are governed at 133 mph. The EU model will do 155 mph. This is also true of the LS430.

On the paper the EU models (all V-8 except ISF -> 270 km/h) are governed at 155, in reality precisely gauge at 160 mph. You only have to make sure displayed 160 is 160 real speed. With 265/30 R22 wheels this is the case.

Same with LS430, but with 245/30 R22 the engine is not strong enough to hit 160 mph.

Maybe it's limited by its arrow dynamics then it's engine power.

It's definitely 133. But it has way more in it. Youtube videos show it doing around 170-175. I would be more than happy with 155.

i have hit the 131-134 mph several times unknowingly... i think i'm doing 100 and look down! the car doesn't really get much louder after 70-80.

in a flat-out test, i normally hit this speed in 5 gear and still have 1000-2000 rpm's left on the tach which leads me to believe that a higher speed is easily attainable.

I wouldn't mind have the limiter removed... top end at 135 sucks....

Only 110mph? Ugh. Double ugh.

Seems earlier Lexus were good for 130-150mph.

Wonder what changed, assuming any of this is even true?

...and pretty please spare me the lecture on safe speed limits.
