A friend of mine left Lexus LS for a s550. He liked the NAV interface and the dynamic seats.

I was tempted because I like the MB NAV system also but I like the lack of service needed on the LS

Default new style LS460

I owned a 2008 LS and loved it and now own a 2013 LS. I must admit that at first I didn't like the new front end but now it has grown on me and I am very happy with the new style. This car is the very best driving whether long distance or just to the store. My only complaint so far is I haven't got the same gas milage on the 2013 as I got on the 2008 [ highway milage ] and the mouse is something to get used to, but otherwise than that I love it.

I agree completely on the interior design, mines in black too with the black shade wood. I love the way it drives and looks from the drivers seat and really.like the interior size on my LS 460 L. I have all wheel drive as well but haven't been in snow or ice or wet roads yet to experience it.

I know one can't devine the reason for lower sales with certainty. I was surprised at how little of the pre 2008 and earlier sales level has come back. The years earlier than 2006 were even more robust for the LS product
yes bsm is very nice and can really spoil us. one thing i really pick on the lx570 that still doesn't have it.

even as a facelift, the 2013+ LS is a huge improvement over the 07-12. i had the 2007 and i have driven / tested / reviewed multiple 2013+. the car is way more solid, better insulted, and built with better materials. trust me, i take apart cars a lot, the latest LS is built so much better than then 07-12.

i don't know if it's because lexus cars are so solid or something about brand loyalty or lease, looking at mb and bmw, their sales numbers are more consistent throughout a generation. but for lexus, it's always high in the beginning and then quickly fall off in years to come. i really wish they can have a flatter sales curve.

i had 07 ls460l and then 07 s550. really depends on what you look for, quite different cars, i reviewed them. and the s550 is really quite a car to drive. to be honest, my s550 actually had less problems than some of my lexus. if it's the previous w220 then it's a nightmare. the w221 was relatively solid

Default BSM is huge

I agree on BSM I won't have another car without it. I am surprised the LX does not have it, my 2011 QX56 had it. When buying my 2014 LS, I looked at the LX on the showroom floor and realized its a good measure smaller than the QX. If any vehicle needs blind spot it's the big SUVs.

It is somewhat similar looking. When I bought my LS it was an hour off, but found the time adjustment in setup where the daylight time setting had to be adjusted. I didn't see anyway to adjust it otherwise and read it is synced up to some electronic time to keep it from needing periodic adjustment

yes, the lx570 got a facelift and still no bsm, that's quite puzzling. the lx is indeed noticeably smaller than the qx.

the analog is hit and miss from what i have seen. people are either ok with it or they just think it's one of the most annoying things inside. to me it's a change. when infiniti first had it i was quite against it but now i am impartial. mb has that too

I had an 08 and loved it. After picking up the 14 FSPORT I must say it is a totally different car and I love my LS even more! . The seats alone are so comfortable and keep you planted around corners
