Default What is the best year LS to buy?

After all the discussion of the control arm bushings, I want to upgrade my 2007. What is the best year to upgrade to? I want a good low mileage used Lexus. Is there a better year that has most of the major problems corrected without buying a new car?

It really depends on price tag. What are you willing to spend? Are you happy with the current interior of your car? Do you like your old front exterior or do you like the new look? Are you wanting the new gadgetry of the 2013 -15?

Bang on right there.

Once you decide that, get the best example you can and don't look back.

2012 was the last year of the older body style before spindle grille. It would have the best chance of having no bugs.

I think 2007-2009 had the best ML but then if you need AWD that changes it.

So I think we need a little more info

2011 and 2012 are probably the best years because they have no recalls however it means very little if you don't find a good example as stated above.

I would gander 2012 onwards as they revised the control arms (correct me if I'm wrong). 2012's with decent mileage are also in the $40k range and not sure what financial range you want to stick with either...

If it were me, I would buy the one with the best deal, taking into consideration the mileage, condition, options and color I wanted irrespective of the year.

For me it came down to 3 things:

The Mouse
The Grille
The CD changer

I would have bought a new one if these changes hadn't been made in 2013. They were deal breakers for me. I found a 2012 with 19,000 miles and I'm happy as a cat.

That's what I did, and I'm very happy. 2010 460L RWD, 13,800 miles. With power, heated, cooled, vibrating rear seats.

I had to have the executive class seating package and i didn't want to spend over $40K so i ended up finding my 2007 with only 14,903 miles for $39K in Chicago!
