Another great thing...
I ONLY carry my Lexus SmartCard in my wallet. No need for a FOB in my pocket. Wow, that sounded like dr. Seuss!
So, I will never drive away from the house without my wallet!
Since my IPhone seems to be an extension of my hand, I can use my iPhone to unlock, open trunk, start the car...
It's a win win for me.

What's really cool is if you get the new Smart Key feature you can put it on any of your vehicle's old school or new school what have you. as you walk up to the vehicle with your cell phone (via bluetooth) the car will unlock.. when you leave your car it will lock again..with an adjustable range setting.. this is backwards compatible too...plug it in a program..... chk out Viper Smart Key

Does it? OK Good!!
Yeah....hard to believe that for 65 dollars and 15 mins of labor on my part, I can have a fully featured RS with option to expand on it's abilities later. In January, I was on threads in here that talked of 3-5 hundred dollar installations.

roadfrog, when you install yours, can you post up some pictures of the wiring connections you do. Just looking to see some photos of how it is wired. Thanks

I'm ok with grabbing the handle, the door unlocking and opening as normal. IF you had a car without the technology like Lexus has on their handles, I could see this being a plus.
I chose to use smart start as the range is unlimited, sit at my desk, fire up the car on 90+ day. I know if the car is unlocked, running or someone has stolen it just by looking at the app.

All done. It took me about 45 minutes. This really was soooo simple.
I did not take any photos, because they really aren't necessary if you follow the instructions which are so very clear. I used T-Taps (red ones as the wire gauge is very thin).
Couple of things to note:
1. When all the wires are connected, remember to press the "push to start" switch three times. This will program the DBall module and the led will turn from red to green.
2. I did not connect the parking lights to the module, as apparently they will not light up if you leave your headlight switch on "auto" as I always do. I don't need my parking lights to be on while the car is running, so not an issue.
Honestly, this is as easy as it gets!
On a side note, this module is high quality and made in Canada. Very impressed. For a grand sum of about 80 dollars including the Ttaps and less than an hour of my time, I have remote start. UNBELIEVABLE.
