Arghh if it isnt one thing, it's another. Got in car this afternoon and the VSC warning, and the engine lights came on. Car seemed to ride fine.I am aware of what VSC is. Does anyone know if this know issue? Fast forward to just now I get in car, fire it up and the idle is going all crazy for 45 seconds or so. It was just bouncing up and down and then it just dropped and purred like kitten. Arghhh. Any advice?

 

Most likely, whatever triggered the VSC system warning is because of what caused the check engine light.

So your first step is having the check engine light diagnosed.

You can revive old threads not an issue.

 

First thing I'd check is battery voltage. I've had the issue 3 times in the life of my car already and twice its been battery issues. The one other time was a more serious issue.
