Some questions from new owner
Got used LS 460 recently, and here are some questions:
1. Is gearshift **** supposed to have any kind of light inside? I ask because owner's guide says this: "Once you open the door, front/rear seats, wheel, and gearshift **** slowly illuminate". However, I can't get the **** to illuminate, is there a setting for this?
2. How many smart entry cards come by default? I bought this car from a person who git it from a dealer (brand new) and he told me the car came with single card (so I have one card + 2 standard keys)

Gear shift Illuminating
Some Lexus models had/have a single LED in the overhead light unit that shines down on the gear shift. The 2010 GX350 had this feature. My present 2012 LS does not have this feature and the 2010 also did not. Maybe the 2007 had this feature and it may not function anymore.

The gearshift **** itself does not illuminate. There are two tiny LEDs in the overhead console that shine a dim light over the lower console.
As I recall the smart key was an option (something like 3 or 4 hundred dollars). So you are fortunate to get the one smart key. Actually you are fortunate to get both remotes, it seems so many used cars come with only one. There were several threads years ago about the smart key, try a search of this forum.
