Has anyone tried the black molded rubber ones for $39 on Ebay? They look like the same design as the super sharp looking painted OEMs.
Did you ever order and install these?

I bought OEM mud guards from JPM in February. They're a bit tricky to install but here they are.

The flaps look great. Can you please give more ordering information and how much it cost? Thanks!

Some close-up photos of an OEM mud guard before and during installation.

Thanks for all the pics! So what the verdict? Are you happy with the purchase?

Yes! Very happy! I had done this with my LS 430 years ago. Those OEMs did not come painted to match; they were just flat black.

I actually think the flaps improve the look of the car, giving it a subtly more aggressive appearance. I'll post a full body pic later.

Did you have to drill at all or did they match up with the factory holes?

Holy crap the M/C version is nearly twice the previous version?!? $359 vs. $599! What gives? Looks to be nearly identical, damn....

Some of the holes line up. For elsewhere there are clips that go on the fender edge to that accept a screw. I still have a screw each in the rears that I didn't secure yet. Looks like I'll have to remove the tire and drill, at least through the thin fender liner.

Hi folks,

Resurrecting an old thread here. I would very much like to install mud guards before the winter. The OEM originals in body color look awesome, but cost over $650 with shipping The aftermarket cheap ones come only in black: this one on Ali Baba and I am sure others on eBay.

I would like your thoughts on whether the black cheap ones would look OK on an Obsidian body. The price difference is tremendously tempting. And after all, I know most of you on CL do appreciate a good bargain! Thanks!
