Default Door Panel Arm Rest

Has anyone taken off their door panel and noticed whether the armrest part can be removed from the door card via attachment screws from the rear? The color on mine is worn and I would like to have it repainted. I think would turn out a lot better if I could remove the armrest and have it painted in isolation.

I know on my previous LS430, the armrest could not be easily removed as it was held to the door card assemble my a hot molded fastener. I am hoping the LS460 is different?

Not sure if the link below works. The photograph is not my car but the part I am referring to is the large panel that is the door pull / arm rest. I am asking if anyone knows whether it is possible to remove this piece from the remainder of the door panel / door card. Mine is Ecru and the color has worn off on the vertical portion, I assume from someone's jeans rubbing against it. If I can remove it, I can have it repainted.
