Default TPMS Sensor Help

Hoping someone might know the answer to this. I am selling my wheels and also give the new owner my TPMS sensor. I am taking his TPMS sensor. Will it automatically sync to the car or do I need to take it to the dealer to reprogram? Thank you in advance.

I do believe that the TPMS sensors will have to be programmed to the car, however, I think Discount Tire does this pretty quick and easy, sometimes free.

In for pics!

I remember reading on here that our cars can only store 1 set of TPMS. I've also heard that some Discount/American Tire Co will do it for free.

Several threads exist discussing this topic..the sensor ids have to be flashed to the ECU and only 5 ids can be stored at once. If you do business with Discount Tire..they will do for free. I have a device that allows me to flash my IDs whenever I want when i switch between my 22s and 19s..more info in my build thread and in the wheel/tire info sticky at the top of this forum
