For AM/FM, CD's and HD it is in the low 20's, but for XM I have to up to to high 20's to get the same loudness.

Of course when certain songs come on, 30's and 40's are in order! :)

my usual listening volume is from 12 to 25... 40 on my way out fri/sat nites lol...

fyi. the ML system is perfectly designed.. its called front stage.. and center image.. when u goto a concert the performing act is high on stage in front of u..(NOT BEHIND or BESIDE U) in a properly designed system, example: home theater systems the larger speakers (even the sub if its a tru thx system like the ML is... a 7.1 hybrid) which is why the 6x9 subs are in the front doors.. ask yourself this when have u ever gone to a movie an looked at the projection booth thru the whole movie.. same principle applies

all the rear speakers a supposed to do is provide rearfill or ambient sound not as a primary source of music.. unfortunately cars are a poor venue for adding speakers power windows, airbags an such.. which is the major reason, up until recently the larger speakers were in the rear deck..now we have smaller more efficient ways of directing an manipulating sounds...

so sit back an enjoy the fruits of the ML designers labor (lord knows i've spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to duplicate it in other cars over the yrs) an its the main reason i bought my Ls..

I am personally an amateur musician that listens to a very wide variety of music. I have the non-ML, unfortunately, so I am all over the scale of volume limits. 90% of the time I listen to Internet Radio's and they all have different volume sets per stations as some of you may know. I would say no higher than 50 ( and that is some really enthusiastic listening) and my avg. being around 30-ish I want to say. I am also completely deaf from the left ear. (dont' ask)

Lexus RX volume

I have a 2006 RX base model.... i've noticed that the rear speakers do not have nearly the volume as the front.... i had a 2003 Rx..it's stock sound was incredible (i'm in the music business, i know)....330 is just a little better than average.

Is it my imagination, or is that how they designed it? speakers work fine.. but i like to be surrounded by sound, the 330 sounds like it all comes from the front dash

best configuration i've come up with driver setting with fader set to R4 or R5....now i did have blown speakers when i bought it, and they put some blaupunkt speakers in there to replace rear ones, i wonder if the ohmage is wrong on them? or maybe the Blaupunkt are too good for the stock amp..

i aint into replacing all kinds of stuff...not my thing...thinking about ordering a set of original speakers to pop in.

I usually will have it cranked at just under 50 for most of the DVD-As I listen to. Anything over that is pushing the drive a bit.....
