Default A/C Filter Reminder Reset

Please refresh my memory...the A/C filter light came on. After I change it, which I DO remember how to do, must I reset the reminder, which I DO NOT remember how to do...or is that automatic once the A/C filter door is opened?

Thanks EHAZE for that good reminder how to change the filter. But what I want to know is does the car "know" that the filter has been changed or must I reset something to turn the reminder triangle off on the dash?

not sure if it's based on mileage or airflow resistance through the filter.

turn the ignition on, then hold the OFF button for four seconds.

just did mine yesterday, and the triangle-reminder went away.

this do-it-yourself outlines how to reset the reminder:

Not only that, but the car knows who you've been with, where you went, how much you spent, and whether or not you had a good time!
