Default Caliper PAINTING And Caliper DECALS

This is really great, seeing so many people "getting on board" and trying this project themselves.

It's such a LOW COST and EASY "project" that results in really excellent results.

The Best Part is 2 years from now when your calipers look just as good as they do after you're through painting them.

Here's hoping more C.L. members jump on this bandwagon. ANYONE can do it. There is no skill involved. All you haveta do is take your time and be careful.

One last thing to remember: You MUST do this during the daytime with daylight to insure you 'see all to paint alll' ....... and that since this is a catalyst-type of paint, your wheels MUST REMAIN OFF THE CAR for at least 24 hours.

Best Wishes to all ..... and a BIG THANKS to Tee for helping us all to be able to get the correct "decals" for our calipers, once painted. If you're not clear, you get FOUR vinyl decals for both the front and the rear calipers for only about $ 11.75 (incl shipping).

ORDER HERE: http://motogfx.com/lexus/

Go near the webpage bottom and order the item listed as: "IS300 Caliper Decals, Straight Front Caliper .... $9.25" (and specify your color desired.)

Thanks. I wanted to up upgrade my wheels to the 19" Touring Edition Wheels but Lexus wanted a little over $7000 (for wheels, tires, pressure sensors, etc). I said FU@% that, I could get 22's for that. So instead of paying 7K for Asanti 22" Wheels (which I REALLY wanted) I just decided to save money and go with the blacked out look and powder coat the factory wheels for only $500... I picked yellow for the calipers to go with the batmobile theme since my wheels, lights, tint, grill, interior and exterior are all black. Then I got a license plate that says "BAT MOB". That's why I chose the whole batman yellow color.

Just rceived my G2 paint and will be ready to paint this weekend hopefully. Is there any specific areas to place jack stands under. It seems like the hardest part is putting the car up on jack stands in the proper place. There is a lot of plastic under the car.

You'll have enough to do all four calipers and the inner part of your rotors... and still some left over to touch up whatever else you have laying around.
