LS 460 Factory Streaming Audio
I wonder if it's possible to switch out the 5th gen system for the 6th? It would probably cost a lot of money though...

EDIT: I read that it works with the iPhone. Just order one from amazon. Now I won't have that annoying wire sticking out of the center console

I have a 2011 LS460 and my iPod Touch is paired with it and the BlueTooth works just fine. No need to plug anything in - it just works. I discovered, to my surprise, that it would even pair if my iPod Touch is in the living room of our home and I start the car in the driveway. So I can listen to tunes from it until I drive off and the connection is broken.

I've actually used about 3 of these. They are iPhone / iPad compatible. They do work well. Note, they do require a power source via a USB mini connector at all times (does not hold a charge). This should be simple enough to wire up for even a novice. Pairing is also simple. They work very well, they are small, and you can easily mount them out of sight behind dash etc.
I have used a belkin aux cable for a year now and it is so crunched up from being pinched

If you are referring to static or crackling then you probably have a ground loop somewhere in your signal path. Try disconnecting the power and the signal cable and reconnect everything. It might go away.
there is an aux output TSIB for noise. You get an annoying whining noise when you accelerate . I had it done and it worked pretty well but then I ended up just getting an ipod adapter
Hello, I was wondering when your ipod is paired are you able to access your albums and playlists from the nav screen? the manual says i should have this capability but my screen only shows the one song that is playing...
