Thanks. Called today to check on the progress. The advisor said they got the parts yesterday and it would be mid next week before it was done. Sounds like alot of time to put it back together. The question I have now is will they replace the spark plugs or use the original ones? I'm hoping they use new ones but the old ones were out.

Just got the car back. Seems to be running good. They replaced both heads and everything attached to them. New valves , springs, spark plugs ect. See how runs over the next few days.

I got a good feeling you're gonna finally enjoy your ride, with no more worries nor problems.
Congrats - Glad it worked out so well for you.

##Update##. With 72503 miles on the car, or 4400 miles since the heads were replaced, the car runs about the same as when this all started. The low oil light came on this evening. The hesitation seems to be getting worse over the past 1000 miles. Could another set of heads go bad in 4400 miles? I thought this problem has been fixed? Is there a lemon law with 72500 miles?

I am not sure but I know there should be a warranty for there work all you can do is complain and make them take it back because I wouldn't be satisfied.... at all.

Took the car in today to Lexus Rivercenter. Could not reproduce the hesitation. They checked it over and said everything is fine. I ended up burning 1.5 qts of oil in 4600 miles. They said that was well within the acceplable range. Told them it never burned a drop until the VSR then it all went to hell. They then made me a copy of the manual were it says 1.1 qt in 600 miles was acceptable.

Considering that the heads were replaced, the oil consumption is troubling. Presumably you should have cylinders milled to exact specs. If it was done properly, your engine should propel the car faster than a comparable LS, use less oil, but also be less fuel efficient.

I would question the competency of the job, but you may have some other problem with that engine.

This hesitation that you feel; could it just be the hesitation that AWD owners have noticed, going uphill, under light acceleration, around 40-50 MPH?

Yes it is under light acceleration around 40-50 mph. It is not an all wheel drive.

Default Hesitation

Im starting to lose confidence in this car. Today coming up a hill the car started cutting out and would not go. Pressed down on the accelerator and it would not go. This is the same problem I've been having but its getting worse. Of course it can't be duplicated at the dealer. They tell me that can't find anything wrong. I need some help.

Hi Grisik I was reading some of your post, and my question is what type of fuel are you running in your car?
