Okay, you absolutely have me curiosity. I never considered a German let alone a W12. I'll have to do some research and hit this thread back with questions. Thanks for the the info and breakdown! Don't think I'd actually consider it without you going into great detail!

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, it's fine to try any brand you want if you're able to take care of all the repairs yourself but if you are dependant on a shop of any type your experience could be very different.

I'll also add just for clarity that I work on all of these myself, if you don't have a shop that is willing to work on them you are limited to Bentley and certain Audi dealers if something does happen. People have brought me their cars from 3-4 states over though so....

That said I've yet to encounter an issue and I also know most people who own these in the US and none of us have really had problems. Most issues the cars have are related to the base vehicle but stuff like coolant leaks etc just don't happen due to the totally different (no compromise/budget restriction) setup on the W12s.

Book times are also the lowest on the D4 for that engine, having worked on all versions other than the diesel I can also confirm as much. Air suspension is a great design on these and I've seen over 5 cars now with 200k+ miles without issues and the struts can be rebuilt unlike Lexus and literally every part is cheaper and easier to acquire. You also can always find the OE parts maker so you know the part is quality, on top of that you also have access to generic parts on the cheap if you want to save money.

A few guys in the UK forums actually discovered the factory seconds vendor for suspension compressors so instead of paying $1200 for an OE part you can get one for $125 with 2 year warranty and they actually work. Stuff like bay is common, I personally found some NOS PS pumps in Germany and had a relative buy them all for me. The W12 uses a unique PS pump that retails for over $1300 at Audi but in reality can be rebuilt using any D3-4 Gen vane pump internals, in my case I have 7 of them though lol!

Engine itself is fully forged and hand built, we have several guys overseas and two here who are in excess of 250k miles (one over 350k) with the only fixes being spark plugs. There is really no major issues at all, the only way you can really kill one is if you fill the oil incorrectly but I'll link that info if you get one.

I got my 12 460l awd with 234k for 12.5 k in 2021 with all the same features as the w12 below (acc, seating, etc.) but this seems like more fun, 100+ extra hp I may switch for my next car!

That one is missing half the options and has no exclusive options but regardless they are WAY more fun than any LS! It's beyond night and day, the power difference on paper is nothing like reality......

The W12 is physically incapable of making as little torque as the LS460, even off idle it's producing more than the 460s peak. The difference when driving is the same as going from a V6 to the LS V8 in terms of effortlessness and just endless power at all and any RPM.

The 500hp is also total bull$#!% btw, my car made 443 all wheel HP stock......meanwhile my RWD LS made 310
