Default Uk non SE-L Differences please?

I have been looking out for an LS 430 but my local dealer seems to have gotten in a reasonably priced 460, but seems it's not an SE or SE-L as I think they're called (unless an SE-L is a long wheel base?)

Could anyone give me any pointers about this. Seems the car has navigation etc. One specific question I have is would this car have inferior audio system? I'm a sucker for the Lexus systems compared to the rubbish i've had recently in E65 7 Series BMW's!

Thanks v much for any guidance!

The stock music system on the LS 460 is quite good. I don't know how it compares to the system on the 7 series BMW though.

US models also have an upgraded Mark Levinson audio system available. This is one of the best car audio systems that you will get from any car manufacturer.

Good luck!

Our 2001-2008 E65 7 series in the Uk had 3 different stereo systems, I had all three in three different cars I had. The best was not all that wonderful so you can imagine what the worst was like!

Strangely all our LS430's in the uk had nav/Levinson(as well as SO much more...). A shrewd move on Lexus's part to steal sales from MB and BMW.

I wasn't sure if having the navigation set up gave top sound as per my fathers IS250 and LS430's with nav.

I found this tonight which answers my questions.

Thought some of those here might find it interesting too. UK press release but quite detailed about the model(s) non-SE, SE and SE-L
