Hey guys, just wanted to know if there's even an aftermarket coilover offered to the long wheelbase version. I thought they only make coilovers for the short version LS460

i think the mounting points are physically the same, similar to the ucf30, but we have a software issue to contend with. SWB coilovers look similar in mounting points to the LWB aragosta/youzealand setup that brian just bought, so that's the only basis i have for comparison.

Does anyone have any new info to add to this thread?

Id like to remove my factory air for the oem "non air" struts with lowering springs , my only concern is the warning lights.

Has anyone successfully done this swap ? Ive heard removing the fuse keeps the warning lights off I just want to be sure.

I'll piggyback on that question if anyone has done this and responds: Which kit did you go with? And, Which factory air suspension setting (Comf -> Normal -> Sport) does the new coil/strut setup most closely mimic?

There isn't much going on aftermarket wise on this forum right now but if you check the other areas you can find some decent reviews on coilovers and stuff

The megan coilovers are very highly reviewed in the IS section and they are even cheaper then buying a set of kyb struts and springs ....im leaning in that direction right now

I think the stock kyb's will mimic the comfort/normal setting and the coils will mimic sport

There isn't many options for the AWD as far as I know , other then the suncore spring/strut conversion

I'm ready to place an order for megans or BC's so I guess I will be the guinea pig

Lots of questions here so I'll do my best to share what I know:

Technically, the conversion for AWD/RWD should not be different. The struts however, at the bottom of the AWD are very different than those of RWD. So you will need appropriate parts for your specific vehicle.

I've read somewhere that someone did just that. A swap w/ the removal of the fuse to show any lights. I can't recall where I read it, but it was somewhere in these forum boards.

Most higher quality coilovers will have an option to upgrade spring rates. Ultimately, this becomes a subjective question to how you want your coilovers built.

For the AWD, in addition to the ones you've listed I believe JIC, Largus, T-Demand also make applications.

If you have trouble locating other brands, PM me and I can point you in the right direction.

I just had my transmission replaced on my 460L and got it back today but it seems like when it was on the lift the front air strut must have given out after it lowered fully and now has a small leak. I also need to get my front ball joint replaced which I plan on having my mechanic do it during the air strut replacement, it's on the same side. which seems worse now that with the air strut issue,

I see on rockauto they have the Arnott for $543. Would it be a huge deal to only replace the driver side now with this aftermarket?

Hi Guys

Took out my air for BC coilovers due to issues with air ( unreliable) i did post a while ago with this issue. So check on my post I made back then.
The ride is defiantly stiffer but much more responsive as in handling and steering control, looks great as in lower.
