Default $140 to adjust headlight

Okay so I found the instruction (posted in the another thread) to adjust headlight since mine is aiming wayyyy low. I was able to adjust the driver side, however the passensger side doesn't move at all no matter how much I turned or which **** I turned.

Anyways, I scheduled an appointment with Sterling McCall Lexus and they wanted $140 to adjust a headlight (1 hour labor). Umm, I took me 3 minutes to adjust the passenger side..why 1 hr? The car is under warranty too..why the charge? They wouldn't budge so I took the car back for now...

Just wanted to confirm with you guys, the passenger side should be able to adjust the same way as the driver's side? If so, this is clearly a defect on the headlight unit and should be covered under warranty?

We know that dealerships need to make money, but honestly, that just seems greedy on their part (unless half the engine needs to come out in order to access that adjustment on the passenger side - not the case, of course )...

There is a self-leveling mechanism in there that may be fighting you.
I'd tell the dealership that it is a defective unit and demand a warranty fix.

Thx whit. I scheduled an appointment with another dealership.
Btw isn't there a "self leveling" on both sides?

Yes, passenger and driver sides should be identical.
