I'm running 245/30/22 in the front and 265/30/22 in the rear

So far so good and I've hit some bad bumps!

I think you can find those caps on eBay if I'm not mistaken... You just have to make sire that they are the right size.

My installer reccommended them b/c I wanted to run a tire with more rubber in the back due to the horrible roads in the DC area. Worked out well for me.

Default 265/30 vs 295/25

I thought this side by side comparison would help.

As you can see, the 295/25 is closer matched in overall stock diameter for plus sizing, but the 265/30 provides about .45 inches of add'l sidewall height and the 265/30 loses about 1.18 inches of width. Seems to me that if you can get over the diameter difference, that extra .45 inches of sidewall could help provide more room between road and rim. I am not good at math, but if you are going 3% too slow with 265s, but wouldn't you eventually get 3% less mileage on your car than you should have while riding on that size? Sounds like a win win LOL

This is a generic tire calculator and all tires/brands can vary quite a bit, but this is a good baseline to start with when comparing
