Default Recirculating Air Setting

Does anyone know how to set the default setting for the HVAC system to not be on recirculating? Everytime I get in the car and start it up, I have to reach over and set it to the fresh air option vs it automatically coming up on recirculating.

there's a setting that you can set on techstream to force it to start on fresh, recirc, OR (this is what i have it set to) the previous setting. the problem is, you have to take the car to the dealer (and unless you've got a good relationship with them, they'll bill you for it), unless you have access to a techstream somehow

also, your tech is going to have to do some digging -- the setting isn't labeled very intuitively (and i forget what the setting was called, sorry!)

Yeah, this little minor issue bugs me also but I'll be darn if I am going to pay a dealer to change it. You shouldn't have to so I will check with them the next time I am there.

apparently lexus dealer policy is to change "lexus personalized settings" once for free at your first 5000 mi inspection. this setting isn't marked on the lexus personalized settings worksheet your service adviser will ask you to fill out

They say great minds think alike but either my Auto mode or me are not blessed with a great mind because we rarely agree on fan speed.
