Default Xzilon Protection

When I purchased my 2008 LS460L I also purchased the Xzilon protection for the paint and the carpet and interior. The purchase was made at the Park Place Lexus Mission Viejo and just a couple of months ago the dealership was sold and is now called South County Lexus Mission Viejo. I submitted a claim for the carpet becuase it is dirty and they cannot get it clean. The dealer contacted Xzilon and they refused the claim stating that it was normal wear and tear. The contract doesn't state anything about wear and tear. The dealer said they aren't going to do anything becuase they were not the selling dealer. I paid $750 for the protection and it is basically worthless. I tried to talk to the GM but he refuses to talk to me. I am dealing with my service advisor and he is talking to the GM. The dealership offered to dye the carpet but to me that is not a satisfactory solution. I told the Service Advisor to refund the contract price and I will be happy. They are going back to Park Place for the refund. I am guessing what the answer will be and it won't be in my favor. Any suggestions on how to proceed? thanks.

Tell them that you will complain to Lexus about the poor customer service .In the end those paint protection plans are a scam. A good wax and polish every 6-12 months will protect the paint finish just fine.

Sorry to hear that, but beamer eater is right. All those "extra" service plans are typically a scam. Never pay for those things. Kinda like buying a tv from best buy and buying the additional service protection plan that gives you another year on the warranty through a third party. Sadly, a lot of people buy those things, but a savvy consumer always declines them.

Unfortunately, those dealer protectants are nothing more then Scotchguard for the interior and synthetic wax for the exterior. Sorry to hear about your problem. I bought a GS from them a long time ago when they were call Lexus of Mission Viejo, seems like the dealership has changed hands many times since.

Well I just sent Lexus an e-mail regarding this issue. I'll post what happens with them.

here is an example of what a good wax and polish will do. I want to see anything sold at any dealership that is applied biannually that will even get close to this kid of mirrored look. Zaino polish and AutoGlym high definition wax
