Keep the LS or move on?
I agree that the real contenders are the S550 and the new XJ/XJL. Both cost more by 20k+. Im not tired of my LS460 yet after 4 years, and I find there is no need to push my driving any more than what this car can handle.
Yes it is kinda boring - but so is anything after about 2 weeks....
I like how comfortable it is to drive every day, the car still looks great, and best of all the button/touchscreen computer interface is quick and easy. I feel like the car was made to do what you tell it to do with no complaining. I just get in it and drive it. Service at my dealer is excellent and infrequent.
Drove my Mom's X5 to the dealer to get something fixed (again), and it wouldn't let me shift out of park while a door was open. WTF!
Drove my Dad's 750iL to the dealer to get something fixed (again), and it took me 2-1/2 minutes to change to a radio station that wasn't one of his presets. WTF!
The true value of this car is that it is a well designed tool that does 95% of what I need a car for. I like it so much I went and got another Toyota; a Tundra, which I must praise for all the same reasons, and it does 95% of what I need a truck to do.

I believe the OP has come to the same conclusion already but some people like to switch it up every now & again to keep things exciting. Your WTF moments made me LOL b/c I have been there.

Its a completely different world. No Comparision.
You should definitely check out the S550 or the 7 series. Both of these are driver friendly. Also take a look at the 5 series. You can get an 07 S class in the middle 40s.
Let us posted.
Good Luck.
Thankyou.
