Driver door wood trim
I have a couple scratches on the upper wood moulding in the driver's door of my 07 ls 460L -- the part where the seat memory buttons are. (reddish cherry burlwood type finish)
Does anyone know how to buff out and polish light hazy type scratches from this wood finish? The area was sandpapered lightly (don't ask) and now there is a hazy, swirly and dull spot on the finish. It's an area about two inches wide and two inches tall. Can this be restored?
I'm willing to buy and replace the part but could not find it in the sewell parts catalog. Can this individual part be purchased or do i need to go the junk yard route and buy the entire door panel?
Thanks in advance for any help....

the wood grain is basically clear coated. get swirl remover or light polish compound and try to use cloth to hand buff the area. as long as the clear is not damaged all the way, chances are you can bring back most of the shine
