Default Air suspension - worth getting?

I am debating whether to get an LS460L with or without the air suspension. I would love to hear other's feedback on this option. I test drove an 2008 460L with the touring package and didn't really notice the difference. However I only drove it on local route for a short distance and I currently drive a BMW 535 with sport package. The 535 sport is much stiffer in terms of ride quality vs the 460L and maybe that is why I didn't feel the difference in the Lexus. My dilemma is that if I get a 2010 model, the typical build for 460L with air suspension will have other options which I don't really care for and the purchase price will increase substantially. If the air suspension is not a good choice then the base 460L with ML sound system and 19in. wheels will be a good set up for me. I need to test drive the 460 with and without a few more times to really determine the difference for myself. In the mean time I like to hear your comments on this.

my ls460l was on air, and i can safely say i have driven more than 20 ls460, some with and some without. i can tell you the ride on air suspension is noticeably better than that without. it's softer, better rebounce, and to certain extend quieter. of course you can't compare the ride to your 535, they are totally different.

What rominl said... The suspension is definitely smoother and quieter. Unlike conventional, suspension noises, squeaks and grunts coming from the springs & shocks are almost non-existent. Being able to lift the car over high cubs is a nice feature as well.

...and don't forget about the sport setting. Car rides more like a sports car and allows the driver to be more aggressive on curvy roads. I always use it when driving on the Blue ridge mountains, car is fun to drive and makes me feel in control.
