has anyone figured out a way to make a contact (has been transmitted to the lexus) as a navigation diestination with out having to retype the info. i'm not even sure that the addresses are transmitted to the lexus nav system along with the phone numbers when the contacts are transfered.

 

I am not a gadget guy so usually I don't play much with the rocket control panel when I drive.
Maybe I am wrong but I don't think the address fields are transmitted during contact transfer.

Thats actually too bad - they make a 70,000 car and the navigation system can't do what a 800 navigation system can do. Its probably because no one has asked for it.

Nav system should:
1) bring in the addresses also
2) show the song playing on the map
3) show the art work on the map
4) allow one to make the transfered addresses a destiantion
5) show your speed
6) allow you to modify it in order personalize the nav system (not enough variables to modify)

i may not use the nav system and just use my iphone that has navigation (Navigon)software on it and connects to the yellow pages and contacts.

 

i think you are being to generous.
It can't do what a $150 nav system can do.
