ES350 better than LS460 ???
Okay, was on the Lexus site and I think some/most of you have seen it too. It's the bit on the "professional" card house builder who builds towers from playing cards around and on the hood of an ES350. They start the ES and rev the engine and the cards are all intact.
They advertise that the ES350 has liquid engine mounts, "reverse" vibration cancellation on the engine idling vibrations, special dampeners on the vehicle, etc.
Anyway, I'm thinking that this is just a marketing effort by Lexus to promote the ES350 during this tough economic period, but... does the LS460 have all of these too? I would imagine and hope so and that these are not exclusive ES350 features.

well it depends on a lot of factors. i don't know if ls460 has that, but maybe ls460 has better insulation elsewhere that makes it quieter. it's the overall package that counts.
been in a lot of es350 loaners, omg they are not even close

In the same manner, the ES 350 cards ad, which is really neat looking, follows the original LS 400 champagne glasses ad which had the LS engine revving with fragile stemware on the hood.
Now if they make a panoramic roof for the LS--now that is a feature that the ES has which the LS does not...
True, which was why I questioned if the ES350 is perhaps "better" than the LS. I've riden in the ES350 twice already as a loaner and one time I had it overnight and I had to take it for a 200 mile drive, and I did not notice anything "special" about the vehicle. It did idle very smooth, but did not feel the noice isolation was anything spectacular.
