Biggest size tire for the LS460

I have recently driven an old 1991 Mercedes 600 SEL it comes with 235 60 16 tires. That tire has 1.2 inches more side wall than my 245 45 18.
You wouldnt believe how much more comfortable it is. It is like you dont feel the tire impacting the speed bump, just body roll.

so far this is the biggest sized diameter tire ive seen on a LS460
(28.26" tire diameter or height from ground up if you will)
How close to the edge is it? when turning the wheel is it close to rubbing on the plastic wheel fender wells?

Yes if I run all four at 38 psi max. If I go 40 or 41 psi I get slightly better mpg but it feels a little more bumpy. I also tested running at 35-36psi and the comfort improves, but you'll hit the half mark on the fuel gage before traveling 140 mi (city).

255/50/18 on the stock 7.5 +32 offset rim works fine with 0 issues..28.1 inch total diameter (And still a good 2.3 inch's of gap in the fender to top of tire). I'm about to put 255/40/21's on tomorrow. well see if the 29.1 inch diameter is too much on stock suspension/height. be a $900 mistake if so ><

Yeah the + size charts maximize on a stock oem wheel (18x7.5 +32) at 255/50/18 Pictured here on my car.
28.1 inch overall diameter 10 inches wide. ON Michelin Pilot A/S 255/50/18
I recently upgraded to some 21x9 et+29 Work Schwert SC2's and wrapped them with 255/40/21, granting an additional inch of overall diameter keeping the same width at 10".
No Rubbing or otherwise (Even over large dips/bumps) & at Full turn L/R for either setup
I wanted the ability to give the car the look fitment wise, of being lowered by filling the wheel well gaps, without touching the suspension. (Mine is stock with no air) - Plus side also it raised the vehicle just under half an inch for better clearance in snow (Since mine is awd)
the 21 setup pictured here is : 21x9 et+29 squared wrapped in Lexani Lx Twenty UHP A/S 255/40/ZR21 - $600 for all 4 tires shipped - 29" overall diameter (1 inch more than the 18's) and keeping the same width of 10" - Ride quality is nearly as good as stock - inflated to 36psi

looks great what’s the colour? Grey mica ? Interior alabaster?
I have mercury metallic not my first choice but oh well, i currently run LS600 wheels 19” on 235/50/19
whats the biggest tire you think I can fit on the stock 19? I thin I tried 255/50/19 and that’s a no go unless I use spacers.
i still have my stock 18” rims but not the nice ones you got and I’m thinking of putting 255/50/18 tires on them like you have.

19x8 et+34 wheels max size
If you plan to run a 50 series, you can as it will be the same height and width as the 18s i ran stock.
OR< you can do this setup with a 19, slight bit more width to avoid a spacer.
Tires are cheap too: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Lionhart-...rd!89506!US!-1
